Peggy and Philip Danishefsky have supported SINAI Schools for many years, and SINAI is especially grateful to them for establishing The Danishefsky Family Scholarship Fund at SINAI Schools in memory of their parents, Rabbi Joel and Jaelene Danishefsky z”l and Marlene Sikes z”l, and their beloved sister Shele Danishefsky z”l. They are leaders within Englewood’s East Hill Synagogue community, Philip having served on its board and as a past Vice President, and Peggy as past President of the Sisterhood. Philip currently serves as a board member on the Rabbinical College of America (RCA), and is a former board member of Manhattan’s Jewish Center on the Upper West Side. Peggy volunteered at The Moriah School for many years, donating her professional services to them. She is active in Project SARAH, was a founder and Co-President of AMIT's New Generation Board and is active in other local philanthropies. Professionally, Philip is a Managing Director and Senior Portfolio Manager of Wealth Management at UBS Financial Services, and Peggy is an accountant and tax consultant at her own firm, Tax Pro Solutions.
Peggy and Philip have always understood that SINAI stands apart in its ability to serve children with complex learning differences or other special needs, but they are particularly drawn to SINAI’s unique “school within a school” model. They love that SINAI’s inclusion enables these children, who already feel different in so many ways, to remain in a yeshiva day school environment, often in the same school as their siblings and friends.
Peggy and Philip are the proud parents of three children, Julius, Leo and Georgia.
