SINAI at JKHA

JKHASINAI Elementary School at Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy (JKHA) is located in Livingston, NJ.  It is an elementary school and middle school for students in grades 1 – 8 with learning and developmental disabilities.  It offers supportive, self-contained classes with a focus on skill development and challenging students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Part of the beauty of SINAI Elementary School at JKHA is how integrated many of our students become into the fabric of JKHA and how well many of our students are received as peers by the JKHA students.

SINAI at RYNJ, including the Riva Blatt Judaic Studies Program

JKHASINAI Elementary School at Rosenbaum Yeshiva of North Jersey (including the Riva Blatt Judaic Studies program) is located in River Edge, NJ.  It is an elementary school for students with learning and developmental disabilities.  It offers supportive, self-contained classes with a focus on skill development and challenging students to grow academically, socially, and emotionally.

Part of the beauty of SINAI Elementary School at RYNJ is how integrated many of our students become into the fabric of RYNJ and how well many of our students are received as peers by the RYNJ students.

High Schools

High School for students with learning disabilities

Maor at RKYHS

JKHAMaor High School is SINAI’s high school for students with average or above average cognitive ability, but who experience academic difficulties.  Maor is hosted within Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School (RKYHS), which is located in Livingston, NJ.  Part of the beauty of Maor is how integrated many of our students become into the fabric of RKYHS and how well many of our students are received as peers by the RKYHS students.

Maor High School is comprised of small classes, where our students receive individualized instruction. Teaching styles and techniques are matched to each individual student’s needs.  In addition to the SINAI classes, many students benefit from mainstreaming into regular RKYHS classes, as described below.
 
Each year, Maor graduates choose to continue their education in 2 and 4 year colleges, yeshiva programs in Israel, and in technical training programs.

The Rabbi Mark & Linda Karasick Shalem High School at Torah Academy of Bergen County

Shalem BoysThe Rabbi Mark & Linda Karasick Shalem High School at Torah Academy of Bergen County is located in Teaneck, NJ.  Shalem at TABC is SINAI Schools’ high school for boys diagnosed with Developmental and/or profound Learning Disabilities.  Shalem balances course material with a focus on skill development.  We teach our students to become independent and confident learners.

Shalem GirlsThe Rabbi Mark & Linda Karasick Shalem High School at Ma’ayanot Yeshiva High School for Girls is located in Teaneck, NJ.  Shalem at Ma’ayanot is SINAI Schools’ high school for girls diagnosed with Developmental and/or profound Learning Disabilities.  Shalem balances course material with a focus on skill development.

Adult Transitional Programs

The Nathan Miller S.H.E.L.I. Residence for Men (Supported Home Environment for Learning Independence)

SINAI Schools’ Nathan Miller SHELI Residence for Men (Supported Home Environment for Learning
Independence) is designed to meet the social, recreational, and emotional needs of young adults with Developmental Disabilities in the context of a supervised housing facility in a beautiful, split-level home in Teaneck, NJ. 

This unique program guides young men through their transition to group living while promoting their independence as adults.

A trained staff of professionals, including special educators and therapists, create an environment that facilitates support for members to share both in their similarities as well as their differences, thereby creating a family of caring individuals. Strong friendships are formed in this structured environment.
