Job Description

SINAI Schools is seeking a highly motivated Judaic Studies teacher to serve as a maternity leave replacement from approximately October 20-January 11, teaching children ages 10-12 with special needs, at its Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR Academy in Riverdale, NY. The ideal candidate will have a Masters in Special Education and bring a wealth of knowledge and experience with children.

Responsibilities

  • Teaching Jewish education to students with special needs ages 10-12
  • Collaborate with co-educators and parents to facilitate the most productive environment possible for each individual’s learning needs

Qualifications

  • Masters in Special Education (required)
  • 3-5 years teaching experience, preferably within a special education setting

Irving Montak SINAI School at SAR Academy, for students in kindergarten through eighth grade, is located in Riverdale, NY. Students have a wide range of developmental, intellectual, and complex learning disabilities, and are grouped into multi graded classes according to their social, academic, and emotional profiles to create appropriate peer groups.
