SINAI’s Maor High School at Rae Kushner Yeshiva High School is located in Livingston, NJ. Offering an academically rigorous program, Maor serves high school students with academic and/or social challenges including learning disabilities, Aspergers, and ADHD.
Classes at Maor average between 4-5 students, where each child is provided individualized instruction to meet his or her specific needs. Teaching styles and techniques are matched to each student’s strengths and challenges. In addition to their individualized SINAI classes, many students benefit from participating in academic courses in the partner school, RKYHS.
All Maor students are included in the fabric of RKYHS life. Maor students are considered full members of the RKYHS community, traveling on the bus together, eating lunch together, and participating in the social RKYHS activities such as sports teams, class trips, assemblies, and graduation.
Each year, Maor graduates choose to continue their education in 2 and 4 year colleges, yeshiva programs in Israel, and in technical training programs.
Our short documentary Saving Freddy gives an excellent sense of what we do at Maor—what we mean when we talk about inclusion, and how much our students can accomplish.
